Run
Imports individual folders or complete camera-trap batches, determines the date and time format and assigns a location to the session. Each folder corresponds to one location.
Wildlife monitoring & camera-trap video and photo analysis
From animal detection and species classification to individual counts, event reconstruction, and temporal, spatial and weather analysis of the data.
Discover ANIMALYZER
Camera traps generate large amounts of video and images. Reviewing them manually takes time, experience and can become repetitive. ANIMALYZER was created to reduce this workload while always retaining a human validation step.
ANIMALYZER does not treat each video as a separate entity, but can reconnect the track of the same individual across consecutive videos. In this way it reconstructs a single EVENT made up of one or more videos, avoiding overcounting caused, for example, by animals remaining in front of the camera trap across several consecutive recordings.
The interface covers the complete workflow, from data acquisition to analysis.

Imports individual folders or complete camera-trap batches, determines the date and time format and assigns a location to the session. Each folder corresponds to one location.

Opens the analysis output in a table designed for quick review and correction of the results.

Displays analysed events and locations on the map within the Analytics section.

Places events on the map, lets users explore the data through charts and filters, and exports results in CSV format.
The platform can already be used to analyse camera-trap videos and images, identify the wildlife present, and turn field material into structured data. ANIMALYZER is designed to support wildlife monitoring, species studies, and research and conservation projects, and is still under active development.
ANIMALYZER can also be used as an analysis service: camera-trap videos and images are processed and validated, with a structured database returned for further analysis.
Researchers, organisations, parks and monitoring projects can provide camera-trap videos or images for analysis. The material is processed through ANIMALYZER and the results are validated before delivery as a structured database containing the information derived from the project.
On request, the data can be accompanied by visualisation and analysis tools to explore events, temporal distribution, maps, species and other information associated with the monitoring project.

Contact me for a demo or analysisWhen I was given my first camera trap, I had not yet realised the potential of these tools. It did not take long to understand that they offer a unique way to observe wildlife and document spontaneous behaviour without the observer being present. Below are some interesting videos I recorded during my camera trap sessions.
